AI, Digital Skills & Learning Consultant

AI, Digital Skills & Learning Consultant

Helping organisations use technology confidently, responsibly and effectively

Technology should make work easier, not more complicated.

I help organisations and their people make effective use of AI, digital tools and online learning. From developing an AI-ready workforce to improving digital skills, creating staff training or transforming learning experiences, I provide practical support that focuses on people rather than technology.

With more than 20 years’ experience in digital learning and educational technology, I bring together technical knowledge, learning design and an understanding of how people actually adopt new ways of working.

Friendly. Practical. Jargon-free.

About me

What are you trying to achieve?

You don’t necessarily need to know what technology you need. That’s something we can work out together.

We want to make better use of AI

Perhaps people are already experimenting with AI, but your organisation is still working out what good practice looks like.

I can help you understand where you are now, identify opportunities and risks, build confidence and develop a practical approach to responsible AI adoption.

We need to improve our digital learning

Whether you’re developing an online course, reviewing your learning platform or rethinking how you train people, I can help you create learning experiences that are engaging, accessible and manageable.

With extensive experience in Moodle, learning design and staff development, I can support individual projects or provide ongoing expertise.

Our people need better digital skills

Having the technology is one thing. Helping people feel confident using it is another.

I design and deliver practical staff development that meets people where they are, from Microsoft 365 and Copilot to AI, digital productivity, accessibility and creating effective digital content.

Practical AI support for organisations

Not sure where to start with AI? You aren’t alone.

The challenge for organisations isn’t simply getting access to AI. It’s working out where it genuinely adds value, how people should use it, and how to introduce it responsibly.

I can help with:

  • AI readiness and capability reviews
  • responsible AI adoption
  • AI guidance and organisational approaches
  • Microsoft Copilot and generative AI training
  • AI literacy and staff development
  • digital capability planning
  • practical workshops for teams and managers

The aim isn’t to introduce AI for the sake of it. It’s to identify where it can genuinely help your organisation and give your people the confidence and understanding to use it well.

Training people actually want to attend

We’ve probably all sat through technology training where somebody demonstrates dozens of features that we’re never going to use.

I take a different approach.

My training starts with what people actually need to accomplish, then explores the technology that can help them do it.

Sessions can be designed around:

  • Generative AI and Microsoft Copilot
  • Microsoft 365
  • digital productivity and smarter ways of working
  • digital accessibility and inclusive practice
  • digital confidence
  • creating effective digital content
  • Moodle and online learning
  • learning and teaching with technology

Training can be delivered online, in person or as part of a wider staff development programme, and adapted to different levels of confidence and experience.

Digital learning that works for people

Digital learning is about much more than putting content online.

I work with organisations to design learning that is engaging, accessible and appropriate for the people using it.

I can support you with:

  • Moodle and learning management systems
  • online and blended learning
  • course and learning design
  • staff development
  • digital learning strategy
  • accessible and inclusive digital learning
  • learning resources and digital content

Whether you need help with a particular project or some additional expertise within your team, I can work alongside you to find an approach that fits.

Experience without the jargon

I’ve spent more than 20 years working with digital technology, learning and people.

Alongside my independent consultancy work, I work in UK higher education, where I lead work around learning technology, digital skills and the effective use of technology for learning.

I’m a Fellow of Advance HE, a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, and have extensive experience of Moodle and digital learning.

But credentials aren’t really the important bit.

What matters to me is making complicated things understandable.

You shouldn’t need to become a technology expert to benefit from technology. My job is to understand the complicated stuff and help you turn it into something practical.
